Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson has openly expressed his appreciation for criticism regarding his performances with the Blues.
The Senegalese international believes that feedback drives him to enhance his skills on the field.
After transferring from Villarreal in 2023, the 23-year-old initially faced harsh criticism from Chelsea supporters and ex-players during his debut season.
Nonetheless, Jackson has made a remarkable impact during the 2024/25 season under the management of Enzo Maresca.
With eight goals and three assists in the Premier League, he has shown significant progress in his gameplay.
Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s Conference League clash with Astana on Thursday, Jackson told Premier League:
“I want to hear people say bad things about me! Criticise me on the pitch, it’s nice… it helps you. I love this, you know.
“I’ve not made it here yet. I’m just improving. Making it is scoring every week, 20/30 goals, or winning trophies.”
