Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola acknowledges that his team is in danger of failing to qualify for the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League this season.
Currently occupying 22nd place on the Champions League table, Guardiola’s team has only managed to secure two wins out of their six matches in the competition so far.
In a warning issued during his pre-match press conference before Manchester City’s upcoming Premier League match against Everton at home, he emphasized the importance of winning games to secure advancement to the next stage of the tournament.
“Right now, we are at the risk of not qualifying for the Champions League… of course we are! Definitely we are,” Guardiola said.
“We have to get points and win games otherwise we will not qualify for the Champions League!”.
Man City’s next Champions League tie is against Paris Saint-Germain in January.
