Cynthia Erivo is attracting award buzz for her role in Wicked and will return to the role of Elphaba in its sequel later this year.
However, the star is already eyeing her next big role: Storm from the X-Men.
In a new interview with the National Board of Review, the 38-year-old was asked which character she wanted to play.
Without hesitation, Erivo replied:
“I really want to play Storm. I know it sounds frivolous, but I think we haven’t uncovered how grand she is, and all of that inner turmoil that she has, so I think there’s a world in which we could, you know, do something like that.”

With X-Men’s next chapter coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), it would be riveting to see Erivo take on the iconic role.
Before then, the masses can see the multihyphenate star back in action in ‘Wicked: For Good’ when the film hits theatres on November 21.
