Renowned Nigerian singer Omah Lay, also known as Stanley Didia, has revealed that he does not smoke cigarettes, but prefers to exclusively smoke marijuana. This disclosure was made during his appearance at the Paris Fashion Show in France, where he was seen holding a cigarette despite his stance on smoking habits.
Omah Lay, who ignited controversy on social media with his new look, explained his reason for holding a cigarette to a media personality who offered him a lighter.
In response, Omah Lay clarified, “I don’t need one. I don’t smoke cigarettes. I only smoke marijuana. This [cigarette] is props.”
In a similar scenario, Shallipopi claimed that he does not smoke despite being seen with cigarettes in his photos and videos, stating that he uses cigars for aesthetic purposes.
The artist shared his preference for smoking only marijuana in a November interview with Soundcity Africa.
