Kendrick Lamar has shared that SZA will be joining him as a special guest performer at the Super Bowl, as revealed in a teaser trailer for the Super Bowl LIX Halftime show.
In the video, Lamar, 37, is seen standing on a football field, talking on the phone before being surprised by SZA who pours blue liquid over his head.
“You know, this field is a lot bigger than people think, so that’s a must,” he says, as another person comes up behind him with a cool box full of a blue liquid. “I’ve been thinking about a guest performer.”
The duo will also be co-headlining a series of stadium shows across the US starting in April, having previously collaborated on successful projects such as the song “All the Stars” from the Black Panther movie which earned them nominations for prestigious awards.
