Ice Spice enraged fans in Brisbane, Australia, after reporting tardiness. The rapper performed for only a few minutes before being cut short.
The ‘Think U The Sh*t (Fart)’ femcee was invited to perform a New Year’s event at Wildlands Festival. However, the show did not go as planned.
Spice reportedly arrived on stage 25 minutes late for a 30-minute concert, and her performance was abruptly cut short three songs in when the microphone was turned off.
Fans booed as she left the stage and threw up the peace sign.
With attendees paying over $200 for tickets, revelers were understandably jarred.
Reacting to a disgruntled festival goers, a rep for the event wrote:
“We understand that Ice Spice’s delayed arrival caused some disappointment.
Managing a stacked festival means we must be extremely firm with set times.
We had a strict curfew of 12.30 am and needed to ensure that the final act went on stage on time, so everyone could enjoy the New Year’s Eve countdown.”
