Grammy-winning Afrofusion star Burna Boy has left fans buzzing after wiping his entire Instagram feed, sparking speculation about an upcoming project or major rebrand.
Despite removing all posts, the 33-year-old singer kept a few images and videos on his Instagram Stories, while also changing his profile pictures across Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube to a black loading icon.
Adding fuel to the anticipation, Burna Boy posted a cryptic message on X: “#NewProfilePic Update 2.20.” Though he hasn’t provided further details, fans are convinced that something big is on the horizon, possibly a new album or a fresh artistic direction.
Born Damini Ogulu, Burna Boy first gained widespread recognition with Like to Party, the lead single from his 2013 debut album L.I.F.E. He has since solidified his status as a global icon, with seven studio albums, including Twice As Tall (2020), which won a Grammy for Best Global Music Album.
Beyond music, the Port Harcourt-born star continues to make history. In April 2024, he was named among Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People, further cementing his legacy as one of Africa’s biggest musical exports.
With the 2.20 hint, all eyes are now on Burna Boy to see what he unveils next.
