Gene Hackman, along with his wife Betsy Arakawa and their dog, were discovered deceased in their New Mexico residence on a Wednesday afternoon.
Denise Avila, Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Public Information Officer, confirmed the news to ABC News the following morning.
The couple was found during a welfare check prompted by a concerned neighbor.
Gene Hackman, known for his roles in “The French Connection,” “The Conversation,” and “The Royal Tenenbaums,” passed away at the age of 95.
Authorities have not found any evidence of foul play in their deaths.
