Ayra Starr, the Nigerian singer whose real name is Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, revealed how her early days as a child chorister influenced her journey in music.
She disclosed that she began singing at the age of 10 and quickly became the lead vocalist in her church’s children’s choir.
Speaking to Amazing Jazzy, Ayra Starr explained how her time in the choir played a significant role in molding her vocal abilities.
“I loved being in the choir. I was like the loudest child, it was the kids’ choir actually and everybody was little.
“It was the first time I discovered that I can I sing. It really helped me shape my voice and music,” she said.
