The trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, has been adjourned indefinitely by Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The trial was delayed after Nyako recused herself from the case on September 24, 2024, following Kanu’s request for her to step down due to lack of confidence in her.
After Nyako returned Kanu’s case file to Chief Judge John Tsoho, he then returned it back to Nyako to continue presiding over the trial.
Nnamdi Kanu is facing terrorism charges brought against him by the Federal Government and has been in custody since his rearrest in Kenya and extradition to Nigeria in 2021.
