Shakira has been seen for the first time since her emergency hospitalization, which forced her to cancel a concert over the weekend.
The 48-year-old Colombian pop superstar was spotted leaving the Belmond Hotel in Lima, Peru, on Monday after receiving treatment for abdominal issues. Despite the health scare, she appeared in good spirits, flashing her signature smile, waving to fans, and even blowing a kiss.
Dressed casually in a black hoodie and matching pants, the Hips Don’t Lie singer kept a low profile behind oversized dark sunglasses.
Reports indicate that Shakira was heading to the National Stadium in Peru to resume her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour. She later confirmed the news via Instagram, much to the relief of fans who had gathered for a vigil the night before.
The update came after Shakira revealed on Sunday that she had been rushed to the emergency room and advised to cancel her scheduled performance.
Her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, named after her 12th studio album released in March 2024, officially kicked off last week in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The tour marks her first in seven years.
Shakira’s next performance is set for February 20 in Colombia, followed by stops in Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Canada, and the United States. The global trek will wrap up on June 30 in San Francisco.
Despite the brief health setback, Shakira seems determined to press on with her tour, reassuring fans that she’s back and ready to hit the stage once again.
