Popular Yoruba actor Babatunde Tayo, aka Baba Tee, has confessed to having sexual intercourse with Dara, the estranged wife of comedian Ijoba Lande, after initially denying the allegations.
Baba Tee revealed during a live interview with socialite Esabod and several TikTokers on Sunday, admitting that the encounter happened during a Truth or Dare game.
He alleged that actress Marygold orchestrated the setup, bringing Dara to his house under the guise of discussing an upcoming event where she wanted him to be the MC. According to him, Marygold never disclosed that Dara was Ijoba Lande’s wife, introducing her only as a content creator.
“Marygold claimed that she wanted me to be an MC for her event but did not inform me she was bringing someone along. She introduced Dara as a content creator, not as Lande’s wife. They started asking if I had a Qatar connection before the Truth or Dare game began,” he said.
Detailing how the events unfolded, Baba Tee explained that Marygold stripped naked and pressured Dara to engage with him intimately while they were drinking alcohol.
“Marygold kept daring me towards Dara while she took alcohol to avoid some of the tasks I requested. Rather than asking me for ‘Truth,’ they kept throwing ‘Dare’ at me. She eventually dared Dara to let me have a quick sexual encounter with her, and she agreed,” he recounted.
The 40-year-old actor stated that he only realized later that Dara was married when Marygold admitted it in a conversation. His confession contradicts his earlier denial, where he threatened to sue Ijoba Lande for defamation.
Now acknowledging the act, Baba Tee claims it was a set-up designed to malign his reputation. The revelation has further fueled the controversy surrounding Dara’s marriage and the accusations of infidelity.
