The European Union, EU, has revealed a rearmament plan, mobilizing up to $840 billion (€800 billion) in defense investment across the bloc.
Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, announced this on Tuesday, stating that European countries are currently in the rearmament era.
“We’re living in the most momentous and dangerous of times. We are in an era of rearmament.
“This is the moment for Europe,” Newsweek quoted the European Commission’s president.
Leyen had previously mentioned that a plan to rearm Europe would be presented during a leaders summit in London.
