The Breakfast Club is known for discussing hot topics, but things got even hotter when host Jess Hilarious went off on her fellow co-hosts Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy. Today, the spotlight is on Jess after comedian Corey Holcomb criticized her, claiming she is not up to par compared to new addition Loren LoRosa.
LoRosa, a highly respected journalist, has received praise for her appearances as a rotating host on the popular Power 105.1 show. Holcomb’s comments have only added fuel to the fire of the ongoing online debate about who should be a permanent part of the show.
Many listeners are advocating for LoRosa to join full-time, whether that means adding her to the lineup or replacing Jess – who took over for original host Angela Yee last year.
Jess Hilarious has finally spoken out after the controversy, and her response is eagerly awaited.
Taking to Instagram, she did not hold back.
She vented:
“We supposed to be a team, but not one person comes to my defense at all. Ever. With this online sh*t. Angela Yee ain’t that motherf*cking crazy. Not as crazy as n*ggas try to make her out to be. There’s a reason that lady wanted to leave that show. I don’t know how she did that sh*t for 13 years. I don’t give a f**k, you already know what’s up with me. I feel played with, so I’m gonna play with n*ggas. I’ve been quiet a lot.”
Elsewhere, she went on to admit to initial tension with LaRosa (something she fesses to listeners commenting on).
Asserting that she realized her issues were misplaced, Jess unpacked how she ultimately feels the role is not what she anticipated it would be.
