Former PDP governorship candidate in Lagos Olajide Adediran (Jandor) met with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, just days after resigning from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The secret meeting, which lasted from 2 to 4 p.m., was not publicly disclosed, but sources suggest it could signal political realignment ahead of the 2027 elections.
Jandor, who left the APC in 2022 to contest the 2023 Lagos governorship election under the PDP, cited “indiscipline and anti-party activities” as reasons for his resignation.
Although he has not revealed his next move, Jandor has been seen meeting with key political figures, including:
🔹 Former heads of state Ibrahim Babangida and Abdulsalami Abubakar
🔹 Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar
🔹 Social Democratic Party (SDP) leaders
Jandor previously accused the PDP’s national leadership of betraying him before the election, alleging that a “false claim of alliance” misled PDP supporters into voting for another candidate.
In the 2023 Lagos governorship election, he finished third with 62,449 votes, while:
✅ APC’s Babajide Sanwo-Olu won with 762,134 votes
✅ Labour Party’s Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour secured 312,329 votes
Jandor has hinted at collapsing his political structure into another party, further fueling speculation about his next political destination.
