As the drama surrounding Burna Boy and Ama Reginald continues to dominate social media, Lagos-based socialite Sophia Egbueje has seemingly addressed the situation with a cryptic message on Snapchat.
She wrote:
“The smartest move you’ll ever make is walking away from the chaos you never should’ve entertained in the first place. Not every battle is yours. Not every mess is worth cleaning up. Protect your peace, and let fools play their own games.”
The post has fueled speculation that Sophia is distancing herself from the scandal that has drawn widespread attention in recent days.
The controversy began when a leaked 40-minute audio recording surfaced online. The recording allegedly features Sophia expressing her frustration over her dealings with Burna Boy.
In the recording, she claimed that in 2024, her former close friend Ama Reginald and Burna Boy’s associate, King Manny, convinced her to meet the Afrobeats star, promising to receive a Lamborghini in return.
Although initially hesitant, Sophia reportedly agreed, recalling Burna Boy’s past generosity, such as gifting a Rolls Royce Cullinan to his ex-girlfriend, Stefflon Don.
However, she alleged that Burna Boy cut off communication with her after their encounter and failed to fulfill his supposed promise.
