Reality TV star Tacha Akide has voiced her frustration over her encounters with Nigerians in the UK, expressing disappointment at how they interact with her in public.
Taking to her Instagram story, Tacha, who recently moved to the UK, noted that while British people often greet her with kind words and compliments, many Nigerians she met chose to secretly record her instead of saying “Hi.”
“The Nigerians that saw me today—what came into their heads was to record me with their phone. I am not begging you to say ‘Hi,’ but if you’re not going to say ‘Hi,’ don’t record me.”
Her remarks have since sparked mixed reactions online.
Some criticize her for feeling entitled, while others share similar experiences and support her perspective.
