South African singer Thandeka “Mawhoo” Ngema is making headlines again following another shake-up in her inner circle.
After reconciling with her sister and former manager, Noxolo Ngema, Mawhoo has now cut ties with her personal assistant and makeup artist, Kuhle Plaatjies, over alleged unprofessional conduct.
Speculation about the fallout began when fans noticed Kuhle’s absence from Mawhoo’s recent appearances.
A close source confirmed that Kuhle was let go for failing to maintain professional boundaries. “They are not friends; Mawhoo expected professionalism,” the source told ZiMoja.
Kuhle hinted at the rift but remained vague, saying, “I am not okay; I am trying to be strong.” Meanwhile, Noxolo, who has resumed her managerial duties, confirmed Kuhle’s departure but refused to disclose details.
This comes months after a high-profile split between Mawhoo and Noxolo, which was reportedly due to missed gigs and growing tensions over Noxolo’s own aspirations as an artist. Now back in her role, Noxolo is refocusing on managing Mawhoo’s brand.
