‘You can’t please the world’ – Asake reacts to father’s allegations of neglect

Nigerian singer Asake has responded to his father’s accusations of neglect in a new freestyle video.

Asake’s father, Fatai Odunsi, who is dealing with a partial stroke, had appealed for financial help in a viral video, revealing that he hadn’t seen his son since his illness started in March 2022.

In his new video, Asake acknowledged that it is impossible to please everyone and expressed frustration that despite his financial support, his father was still trying to manipulate him.

He emphasized that despite his efforts, there are always people determined to make things tough for him.

“You can’t please humans, you can’t please the world. Whatever you do, do it for God. My own father wants to cajole me even though I have always sent him a lot of money. I have struggled for so many years, yet they want to make life hard and exhausting for me,” Asake freestyled in a mixture of Yoruba and English.
