“They Couldn’t See Him” – Bishop Oyedepo’s Daughter, Love Ogah, Recounts Failed Assassination Attempt on Her Father

Bishop Oyedepo’s Daughter, Love Ogah, Recounts Failed Assassination Attempt on Her Father

Love Ogah, daughter of Bishop David Oyedepo, founder and presiding bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel), has shared a powerful testimony from her childhood involving a failed assassination attempt on her father’s life.

Speaking during a church gathering, Love urged the congregation to develop a personal relationship with God, using the harrowing experience as a reminder of the supernatural protection that comes from being anchored in faith.

“I remember when we were growing up. I think I was in secondary school then. One particular night, we were visited in our house by hired killers. They came to our house and specifically stated from the gate that, ‘We are here to execute him.’ By him, they meant my father. Our house was like a war zone.”

Love recounted how the attackers stormed their home, searching every room for her father. She described the moment as surreal and traumatic, even suffering a personal injury while hiding behind a door.

“The door hit my lips, and my top gum came off and was dangling,” she revealed.

But in the midst of the chaos, a miraculous event unfolded—her father remained completely unseen by the assailants.

“The most interesting thing that stuck with me since I was a child is that he was looking at them the entire time, but they couldn’t see him. They ransacked our house for hours… They entered his room, ransacked everywhere, and he was looking, but they couldn’t find him.”

The experience left an indelible mark on her, strengthening her faith and underscoring her father’s consistent teachings on divine protection and supernatural deliverance.

“When you are in the centre of God’s will for your life, challenges will come and test what you stand for. That’s why I’m begging, for your own destiny, know God for yourself… When you are in God, you are coming from a place of victory. They can’t touch you.”

Bishop Oyedepo, renowned for his fiery sermons on faith, divine encounters, and covenant protection, has often shared testimonies of God’s miraculous interventions over the years. His ministry, founded in 1981, has since grown into a global Christian movement with a massive following across more than 140 countries.
