Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has opened up about turning over a new leaf in his personal life.
During a recent interview with The Breakfast Club podcast, he declared a firm stance on monogamy.
The singer admitted that his past lifestyle — which saw him father five children with four women — brought more “wahala” than joy, and now, experience has taught him to embrace peace and commitment.
“I’m not cheating again. I don’t want wahala. I have five kids with four women. I’ve had bad experiences. Sometimes experience is the best teacher,” he said candidly.
Davido referenced his uncles who are in polygamous marriages, pointing out how those relationships have not brought lasting peace — another lesson that has pushed him to seek stability and emotional growth.
White Wedding with Chioma Set for August in Miami
In a heartwarming update, Davido also revealed that he and his wife, Chioma Avril Rowland, are preparing for their white wedding in August 2025, which will take place in Miami, Florida.
The couple, who tragically lost their son Ifeanyi in 2022, are now proud parents to a set of twins, a boy and a girl. Davido shared an emotional reflection, saying the boy reminds him of Ifeanyi in a striking way.
“The boy looks exactly like my son who passed. They act the same. Everything he used to do, he does.”
With his renewed commitment to family and love, fans are applauding Davido’s transformation — both as an artist and a man.
"Women have dealt with me in my career… the best time is when there's no problem at home."
