Faith Nketsi fumes over fake social media accounts of her daughter, begs fans to report accounts

South African influencer and media personality Faith Nketsi recently voiced her anger and worry on Instagram about fake social media profiles using images of her daughter.

Unauthorized TikTok and YouTube accounts with a combined following of over 60,000 have been sharing content featuring her child without her permission.

Faith Nketsi, known for sharing affectionate moments with her daughter on her official Instagram page, like birthday parties and vacations, clarified that she has not authorized any social media accounts for her child.

In her emotional message to fans and followers, Faith Nketsi wrote, “Hi guys. Please help me report this account on TikTok and Instagram. I don’t have a social media account for my daughter and I will never have. This page is just so unsettling for me. I wanted to ignore it but I can’t. I hope we can gather as an internet family and get this account taken down. Thank you in advance.”

Faith Nketsi also warned her followers about a fake YouTube channel and Instagram account, saying, “This person has also opened a YouTube channel and Instagram page. Please report. Thank you.”

Many of her followers responded with supportive comments. One user wrote, “Your child has a celeb of a mom…you must see how many Kim Kardashian kids have fake accounts. It comes with being well known. Even if that one shuts down, there will be many more to follow. I guess the solution is best you open an account for her to avoid all this.”

To this, Faith Nketsi replied, “I understand that but for now let’s block this account. I’m going to stop posting Sky at some point so there won’t be content to post. For now let’s report this account. Thank you in advance.”

Support continued to pour in, with another follower saying, “The same person has created a YouTube and Instagram account as well. Hope you manage to get this sorted mommy, we’ll report the accounts as best as we can.”

However,  some followers expressed concern about how difficult it is to stop fake accounts online. One said, “They won’t take them down, that’s the sad part. They will say there’s no violation. Copyright your material of your child so that when it gets uploaded or reuploaded they are met with a violation of copyright… Either than that you’re just fighting a losing battle mama. Good luck.”

Another added, “I just think it’s going to be hard to monitor a whole internet and the pages they make about your child since you’re a public figure and you do share those moments… You can however still keep on reporting the pages but there’s only so much that can be done.
