Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has denied reports of a rift between him and the team after their Champions League elimination.
Some players are believed to have expressed concerns about Ancelotti’s tactics to club president Florentino Perez, but Ancelotti dismissed these allegations during a press conference on Saturday, stating that anyone claiming there is a rift “is not being honest.”
He said: “I’ve spoken with the players and the club. We’re on the same page. We’re hurt.
“These are things that can happen in football; you can’t always win.
“We have the same idea. We haven’t had a clash with the club because we’re always in the same boat.
“Anyone who talks about a clash with the president isn’t telling the truth.”
Real Madrid are still in with a chance of retaining their LaLiga crown and winning the Copa del Rey but if they fail to triumph in either, the 65-year-old is likely to leave the club this summer.
