Nigerian rapper and music producer Phyno has refuted claims circulating on social media that he sold his alleged ₦10 billion estate due to regrets over investing in Yorubaland.
The rumour, which originated from a user on X (formerly Twitter), alleged that the Igbo-born artist had sold the luxury estate after deciding it was a bad financial move.
Phyno, known for staying relatively private, did not take the accusation lightly. In a fiery response, he lashed out at the user, writing:
“You are a fool for cooking up this type of lie!!! Where are you heading with this? Anwu nta.”
His clapback, which included the Igbo phrase “Anwu nta” (loosely meaning “small fly” or “insignificant insect”), was a clear expression of disgust and disbelief at the misinformation.
As of now, Phyno has not confirmed the existence of such an estate, nor provided further details regarding any property sale—indicating the viral claim is likely false and unfounded.
Fans and followers have backed the rapper, criticizing the spread of fake news and calling for responsible social media use.
