Super Eagles Star Ahmed Musa Marries Fourth Wife, Asmau Moriki

Nigerian footballer and Super Eagles forward Ahmed Musa has taken a fourth wife, Asmau Moriki, expanding his family four years after marrying his third wife, Maryam Adamu Jajere, in 2021.

Clips from the recent wedding ceremony surfaced on Instagram on Friday, capturing Musa and his new bride in joyous moments surrounded by family, friends, and well-wishers.

A Timeline of Ahmed Musa’s Marriages

Ahmed Musa, celebrated for both his football career and philanthropic efforts, has frequently made headlines for his personal life, especially his marriages:

  • First Wife – Jamila Musa (2013 – 2017):
The couple had two children — Ahmed Musa Jr. (born 2014) and Halima Musa (born 2015). Their marriage ended in 2017 due to irreconcilable differences. Media reports at the time alleged the breakup was tied to Musa’s involvement with another woman, leading to a domestic dispute and a brief arrest in the UK. He was later released without charges.

  • Second Wife – Juliet Ejue (2017):
Shortly after divorcing Jamila, Musa married Juliet Ejue. The couple held their court wedding in Abuja on May 23, 2017, followed by a traditional ceremony on July 1 in Idum Mbube, Cross River State. Juliet, a graduate of the University of Calabar, is the mother of Ibrahim Ahmed-Musa (born June 2018).

  • Third Wife – Maryam Adamu Jajere (2021):
In July 2021, Musa tied the knot with Maryam, a Shuwa-Arab woman from Yobe State, in a private ceremony in Kano.

  • Fourth Wife – Asmau Moriki (2025):
His latest marriage to Asmau Moriki further confirms his adherence to polygamy, a practice permitted under Islamic tradition, which Musa openly follows.

Despite public scrutiny, he has consistently embraced his personal choices, citing cultural and religious values.
