Taylor Swift’s holiday home in Rhode Island has become linked to a troubling local news incident.
Authorities in Westerly, Rhode Island, responded to a report on Wednesday about what were believed to be human remains, according to local outlet WJAR.
Upon arrival in the Watch Hill area, officers reportedly discovered a bone believed to be a human leg.
The remains were found approximately 300 metres from Taylor Swift’s residence.
They have since been transferred to the Rhode Island Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination.
While authorities currently do not suspect foul play, speculation has emerged suggesting the possible presence of a murderer.
The Westerly Police Department’s Detective Division is actively investigating and working to determine the identity of the remains.
Taylor Swift purchased the coastal mansion in 2013 for $17 million (£12.8 million), a property that has become well known for her iconic Fourth of July celebrations.
She also mentioned the home in her 2020 Folklore track “The Last Great American Dynasty.”
As revealed by documents obtained by Us Weekly in January, the residence is set to undergo a $1.7 million (£1.3 million) renovation, which includes plans to add a bedroom and remodel the kitchen.
