Davido, the popular Afrobeats artist, revealed that he has Igbo heritage in response to a troll who cautioned him about his relationships with Igbo individuals.
Despite being Yoruba, Davido confidently expressed his pride in his Igbo roots and dismissed concerns about potential betrayal from his Igbo associates.
The X user, Yakbel wrote, “Davido just dey carry Ibo full body, until when dem betray am before e rest. Yoruba boy dey frolick with Ibos in 2025, they want your head and everything you have to belong to them. You can never satisfy Ibos. Ibos are not people you surround yourself with as a Yoruba man.”
However, responding, the singer said he is Igbo himself.
He wrote, “Lol. I am Igbo by blood.”
