Kanye West has apologized for his antisemitic comments that sparked outrage, including sharing Nazi imagery and releasing a song titled Heil Hitler.
He wrote, “I am done with antisemitism,” followed by, “I love all people,” and then added, “God forgive me for the pain I’ve caused.”
The Jesus Walks rapper went on to write, “I forgive those who have caused me pain,” and added, “Thank you God.”
Offering insight into his new mindset, the rapper revealed he had made contact with the children who he shares with ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
He wrote, “I simply got a FaceTime from my kids and I wanna save the world again…” and then added, “The earth itself is in Gods Kingdom,” before sharing further messages asking for peace and love.
Despite previously apologizing to the Jewish community in 2022, Kanye West faced backlash after attempting to sell a T-shirt with a swastika design and declaring himself “a Nazi.”
The musician issued a new apology on social media, vowing to stop making antisemitic comments and asking for forgiveness, but some remain skeptical of his sincerity.
As a result of his controversial behavior, Kanye West lost endorsement deals with Balenciaga, Universal Music Group, Gap, and his Hitler-praising song was banned from major music streaming services.
