EPL: Man Utd rejected my offer – Amorim reveals

Ruben Amorim, the manager of Manchester United, admitted that the team has fallen short in his debut season in charge, regardless of their potential victory in the Europa League.

Despite a challenging time at the helm of the Red Devils, with the team facing the possibility of finishing outside the top 10 in the Premier League for the first time, crashing out of the Carabao Cup and FA Cup early on, Amorim remains dissatisfied.

The team is currently in the semi-finals of the Europa League, where they will face Athletic Bilbao.

However, the 40-year-old manager does not believe that winning the trophy would be enough to salvage their disappointing season.

Speaking to reporters, Amroim said: “Everyone knows this is really important for our season. Nothing will ‘save’ our season but this can be huge.

“Winning a trophy and getting in the Champions League next year can change a lot of things, even in the summer.”
