Chris Brown was arrested in the early hours of Thursday morning at a luxury hotel in Manchester in connection with a nightclub bottle attack that occurred in London.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police detained the 36-year-old American artist at The Lowry Hotel just after 2 a.m.
The arrest relates to an incident that occurred on February 19, 2023, at Tape nightclub in Hanover Square, Mayfair, where Brown allegedly assaulted music producer Abe Diaw.
Diaw claims Brown attacked him unprovoked around 3 a.m. at the exclusive venue.
Chris Brown had flown into the UK on a private jet and landed at Manchester Airport the day before his arrest.
Following investigations by The Sun that revealed his presence in the country, Met detectives traveled to Manchester to apprehend him.
He is currently being held at a local police station for questioning.
A Met Police spokesperson confirmed: “A 36-year-old man was arrested at a hotel in Manchester shortly after 02:00hrs on Thursday, 15 May on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
He remains in custody. The arrest relates to an incident at a venue in Hanover Square on 19 February 2023.”
