Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has vehemently denied allegations linking him to a violent attack on Atiku Isah, the newly inaugurated President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).
In a statement shared via Instagram Stories, Seyi described the claims as “an attempt to defame my character,” adding that he has “never knowingly met Comrade Isah before” and did not attend any meeting or event involving thugs.
“All these allegations by Atiku Isah are completely fictional. May God be with you, comrade,” he stated.
The controversy follows a chaotic incident at the NANS inauguration event held Tuesday at The Wells Carlton Hotel, Abuja, where Isah was reportedly attacked by armed men allegedly linked to Seyi. Photos circulated online showed the student leader with visible injuries, and he later claimed the assault was politically motivated.
Isah accused Seyi Tinubu of orchestrating the attack after he allegedly refused a N100 million bribe meant to silence him.
“They came with machetes and guns… beat people, injured many, and stopped Senator Shekarau mid-speech,” Isah claimed.
Despite the shocking nature of the allegations, no official investigation or government statement has been issued as of the time of this report.
