Pep Guardiola

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has acknowledged that this season has posed the greatest challenge of his managerial career.

Despite winning four consecutive titles, City struggled to maintain their usual high performance levels. They fell out of the Premier League title race early and were knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid in the first knockout round.

However, there is still a chance for City to end the season with a trophy if they can defeat Crystal Palace in the FA Cup. Additionally, they are on track to secure a spot in next season’s Champions League.

Guardiola, who has managed top clubs like Barcelona and Bayern Munich over the course of his 17-year managerial career, believes that this season will be remembered as the most difficult one he has faced so far.

“It’s been the most difficult [season], that’s for sure.

“It’s been more demanding. Much more. When you don’t win it’s more demanding emotionally and preparing and the moods and everything.

“It’s been more difficult. It’s been more difficult than the previous seasons we played for the titles,” Guardiola said.
