Jerry Eze, the founder of the widely followed online prayer platform, New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD), has shared the reason he once questioned his divine calling.
In a popular episode of the podcast, Eze recounted how he began to doubt his calling after leaving his role as a communications specialist with the World Bank HIV/AIDS project and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), which left him unemployed
He revealed this publicly to offer encouragement to others who may be going through similar challenges in their spiritual or professional paths.
Jerry Eze also reflected on that period of uncertainty as a time of divine preparation for the global impact his ministry now has.
The interviewer asked: “Where there times when you doubted that it was really God you heard?”
Jerry Eze replied: “Oh yes, I remember a month after I resigned, I thought I had made the biggest mistake of my life. You read the Bible, pray, and nobody to preach to. I felt like, can God really make me jobless? Because I love doing something.
“But I knew that was the time of being set apart for preparation of what the world is witnessing right now (NSPPD). If you have been tempted, someone wants to know how you have been tempted and if you ever tried to give up.”
