A video circulating on social media has captured Nollywood actor Femi Branch being stopped from leaving a film set after allegedly assaulting a crew member.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Day 8 of a 9-day shoot, between 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM, when Branch reportedly slapped the Assistant Director (AD) during a heated argument over filming procedures.
Tensions flared as the Director began rolling on the first camera, while the Director of Photography (DP) and Assistant Director (AD) were still adjusting the second camera. When the AD questioned this, Branch allegedly responded with insults before the altercation escalated into a physical altercation.
“I told him he can’t intimidate me, and that was when he hit me,” the AD claimed.
In a rare act of solidarity, the crew locked the movie location’s gate, refusing to continue filming until Branch issued a formal apology. The standoff persisted even after the team relocated to their final shoot location at Lekki Conservation Centre.

Attempts to persuade Branch to apologise reportedly failed, prompting the crew to block his exit until the matter was resolved.
As of the time of this report, neither Femi Branch nor the film’s production team has officially commented on the incident.
