Popular Nollywood actress and socialite, Annie Macaulay, has stirred fresh buzz online following what many believe to be a subtle dig at her ex-husband, music legend 2Baba Idibia.
Recall that 2Baba officially confirmed his separation from Annie in January 2022, keeping the reasons behind their split private.
However, the saga took an unexpected turn when 2Baba recently announced his engagement to Natasha Osawaru, a sitting member of the Edo State House of Assembly.
In a cryptic Instagram post shared by Annie, the actress hinted at someone being displeased with her continued strength and resilience:
“Somebody mad at me because you Ai’nt are suffering the way they expected to.”
Though Annie did not directly name anyone, social media users have speculated that the message may be directed at her ex-husband or those close to him.
The actress publicly confirmed her divorce during the 17th Headies Awards in April 2025, where she reintroduced herself by her maiden name, Annie Macaulay, signaling her new chapter.
