Arsenal are in advanced negotiations to sign Brentford captain Christian Nørgaard, with a deal reportedly close to completion.
Sources reveal that the transfer could be finalized within days, with the total package valued at around £12 million. The Gunners are offering an initial fee of approximately £9.5 million, with additional add-ons to follow.
The 31-year-old Denmark international is reportedly keen on the move, and personal terms are not expected to be a stumbling block.
This development comes as Arsenal prepare for the departure of midfielder Thomas Partey, whose contract at the Emirates Stadium expires at the end of June. Nørgaard is being lined up as a direct replacement in midfield.
Should the deal go through, it would mark another strategic acquisition for Mikel Arteta’s squad as they aim to bolster their depth and experience ahead of the 2025/26 season.
