Chelsea FC have reportedly placed a £50 million (€55–60m) asking price on striker Nicolas Jackson, following increasing interest from Juventus and an unnamed Premier League club, according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano.
The 24-year-old Senegalese forward, who arrived from Villarreal for £32 million in 2023, endured a mixed debut season at Stamford Bridge. Jackson netted 17 goals across all competitions but struggled in the second half of the Premier League season, scoring just once after January.
His recent form has raised questions, especially after receiving two red cards in his last five appearances, including one during Chelsea’s Club World Cup defeat to Flamengo.
Chelsea’s confidence appears to be shifting towards new signing Liam Delap, acquired for £30 million from Ipswich Town. Delap, who impressed last season despite his team’s relegation, started ahead of Jackson in the Club World Cup final.
While Juventus have initiated preliminary talks, they are reportedly unwilling to meet Chelsea’s hefty valuation. Meanwhile, an undisclosed Premier League rival is closely monitoring Jackson’s situation.
Despite the uncertainty, Flamengo manager Filipe Luis praised Jackson’s potential:
“He’s so good, he’s young, he has all the potential… he can be one of the biggest strikers in the world.”
What’s Next?
With Chelsea’s firm stance on the fee and interest building, Jackson’s future at Stamford Bridge could be decided in the coming weeks as the summer transfer window heats up.
