Nigerian singer and creative entrepreneur Darey Alade and his wife, Deola, had a near-tragic experience on Friday afternoon when their vehicle caught fire and was completely destroyed on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.
Deola Alade shared a chilling video of the burning car on her Instagram page on Saturday, recounting the terrifying ordeal that occurred around 4 p.m. the previous day. Thankfully, no lives were lost in the incident.
“It was a shocking and painful experience, but we’re incredibly grateful that the driver made it out safely. No lives were lost, and that’s what truly matters,” she wrote.
Deola emphasized that they were sharing the experience not for sympathy, but to encourage others facing sudden losses. “Things can be replaced. Lives cannot,” she said, expressing gratitude to God for protection and strength.
“One breath, one prayer, one step at a time. We give thanks in all things. 💛 THANK YOU JESUS!!!” she added.
