Nigerian comedian and media personality, Woli Arole, has shared his strong opinions on the increasing trend of women opting for surrogacy despite being physically capable of bearing children naturally.
In a recent Instagram post, Arole described pregnancy and childbirth as divine blessings that should not be dismissed in the name of modern convenience or personal preference.
“Listen carefully, it is a blessing for a woman to carry her baby in her womb, that is how God wants it. Do not let wokeness derail you. Unless for medical reasons she can adopt options like surrogacy, IVF, and all,” he wrote.
The comedian emphasized that alternative methods like surrogacy and IVF should be reserved for cases involving health complications, and not simply because a woman does not feel like experiencing pregnancy.
“You cannot say my body my decision, I do not feel like carrying a child, I want surrogacy. Nooooooo, your body is God’s temple,” Arole added.
Woli Arole comments have stirred conversations online, with some agreeing with his faith-based viewpoint while others argue that personal autonomy and choice should be respected in all reproductive decisions.
