It’s a week of milestones for Georgina Bloomberg — the 41-year-old equestrian, philanthropist, and daughter of former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Not only is she preparing to welcome her third child, but she’s also the new owner of a stunning waterfront home in the Hamptons.
Late last week, Georgina shared her pregnancy update with her 100,000 Instagram followers:
“2 week countdown begins today. I cannot wait to meet you baby girl.”
She and her fiancé, Justin Waterman, a finance executive, are expecting their second child together. The couple already shares a son, Sebastian, born in 2023. Georgina also has a son, Jasper (born 2013), from a previous relationship with Argentine Olympic show jumper Ramiro Quintana.
While Georgina kept the real estate news under wraps, sources revealed to Gimme Shelter that she’s the new owner of a $4 million beach house on Cold Point Road in Southampton — a property just five minutes away from her father’s grand estate, Ballyshear.
“He wants to spend time with his grandchildren,” a source close to the family said, confirming that Michael Bloomberg was the real buyer behind the all-cash purchase.
The 3,000-square-foot home, designed by architect John David Rose, sits on one-third of an acre and includes 100 feet of waterfront frontage overlooking Cold Spring Pond and Peconic Bay. With four bedrooms, 4.5 baths, and an open-concept layout, the home was last asking $4.29 million and quickly closed for $4 million, setting a new price benchmark in the Cold Spring Point Beach Community.
While the home lacks a pool, it boasts an outdoor shower, a private boat dock, and access to community tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts, as well as beach access. Inside, a great room with a stone fireplace connects to a chef’s kitchen, butler’s pantry, and spacious dining area. Upstairs, the primary suite features a covered porch with sunrise views — perfect for quiet mornings.
The new residence may seem modest compared to her father’s 22,000-square-foot Ballyshear estate, which sprawls across 35 manicured acres and borders the elite National Golf Links of America in Shinnecock Hills — but it’s ideal for family life.
Built in 2012, Georgina’s new home offers peaceful luxury, practical comfort, and proximity to family — a perfect setup as she enters this next exciting chapter.
