Hollywood actor Cuba Gooding Jr. has shared his thoughts on the ongoing federal case against music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, emphasizing that his response is prayer, not judgment.
In a brief encounter with TMZ at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) this week, the Oscar-winning actor was asked about Combs’ legal woes, which include serious allegations of sex trafficking, racketeering, and abuse.
“You turn on your TV and see it everywhere,” Gooding Jr. said. “I pray for the brother, and I pray for the victims, and I pray for Cassie and her family … That’s all I can do from a bystander’s point of view.”
When pressed further, he added: “It’s hard to… but yeah, I feel sympathy. They say, he without sin, cast the first stone. I don’t judge anybody.”
Gooding Jr. was previously mentioned in producer Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones’ lawsuit but has since been removed from the case. The actor also resolved his own legal challenges in 2022 after pleading guilty to forcible groping in a separate incident.
As Diddy’s trial continues today (June 20), the testimony of Brendan Paul, the alleged “drug mule” for the hip-hop mogul, is expected to take center stage.
The unfolding case against Combs remains one of the most closely-watched entertainment scandals of 2025.
