Manchester United have intensified their efforts to sign Bryan Mbeumo by submitting an improved bid worth over £60 million, according to talkSPORT. This development puts the Red Devils ahead of Tottenham Hotspur, who are also keen on the Brentford forward.
Mbeumo, 24, scored an impressive 20 Premier League goals last season and is now entering the final year of his contract.
Despite the short term remaining on his deal, Brentford are set to make a huge profit on the player they signed from Troyes for under £6 million in 2019.
While Tottenham Hotspur remain interested, they may now focus on Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze, as reports suggest Mbeumo prefers a move to Old Trafford.
The potential transfer would bolster United’s attacking options following the recent addition of Matheus Cunha from Wolves. Negotiations are ongoing, but sources indicate United are well-positioned to finalise the deal soon.
