Nigerian Hair Vendor Alleges Assault by Customer Over ₦1.1 Million Wig Dispute

A Nigerian hair vendor has taken to social media to raise an alarm after a dissatisfied customer allegedly assaulted her during a heated dispute over a luxury wig valued at ₦1.1 million.

In a video shared on TikTok, the vendor narrated how the altercation unfolded at her store.

According to her, the customer originally ordered a 24-inch bone straight wig, which she insists was properly delivered as requested.

“She came to our store and ordered a 24-inch bone straight. This is the video of what she ordered, and this is the footage of the hair from our camera. She’s now saying it’s not the same hair,” the vendor stated in the video.

The situation reportedly escalated when the customer allegedly attempted to reach for another wig priced at ₦1.1 million, prompting fears that she intended to take it amid the commotion.

In another clip, the vendor showed bruises on her body, which she claimed were sustained during the scuffle with the disgruntled buyer. A man, believed to be a staff member or security personnel, was also seen trying to restrain the agitated customer to prevent further violence.

The incident has sparked widespread reactions online, with many social media users debating issues of customer rights, product verification, and vendor protection in Nigeria’s booming beauty industry.
