Veteran Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli has issued a powerful call to action to her colleagues, reminding them that “nobody is coming to save” the industry.
In a heartfelt message shared on her social media page, Omoni emphasized the importance of self-reliance, collaboration, and intentional support within Nollywood:
“Dear Nollywood, nobody is coming to save us! We are all we have — but we are enough,” she wrote.
“Let’s support the ones fighting tooth and nail to keep the industry running. Let’s not choke them.”
She acknowledged the struggles many actors, producers, and crew face — especially those who are not making returns on their investments — yet continue pushing forward out of passion and hope for a better future.
Omoni urged the industry to stay united and lift each other up, ending on an encouraging note:
“Let’s support ourselves… It will get better. God is in our story. Always remember that I love you.”
