Popular Nigerian on-air personality and rapper, Nnamdi Nwabasili, widely known as N6, has declared that Nigeria is at war, though many citizens remain unaware of this reality.
Reacting to the recent massacre of over 200 people in Yelwata, Benue State, N6 shared a video on his TikTok page, warning that the country has been in conflict since 2016/2017, especially in rural areas.
He said:
“Let me tell you something, whether you want to accept it or not, Nigeria is at war; Nigerians just don’t know it yet. The problem is that most people reside in Lagos, Abuja, and state capitals, so the war hasn’t reached them. But ask people in rural areas… Nigeria has been at war officially since 2016/2017.”
His remarks have sparked fresh conversations about the worsening insecurity in parts of the country.
