Nigerian music star, Stanley Omah Didia, widely known as Omah Lay, has once again opened up about his battle with depression—this time with a tongue-in-cheek twist.
Taking to his X handle on Tuesday, the Soso hitmaker wrote:
“10M in pounds or dollars right now will heal me for at least a month.”
The singer’s post quickly went viral, resonating with fans familiar with his candidness about mental health struggles. Omah Lay has previously shared that he battled chronic depression, an experience he said almost cost him his life.
Back in July 2022, shortly after the release of his debut album Boy Alone, Omah Lay stunned fans when he revealed that his condition worsened after having a sexual encounter with his therapist. The emotional honesty in that album reflected his inner turmoil, earning critical acclaim for its vulnerability and introspection.
Looking ahead, he has hinted that his forthcoming sophomore album, titled ‘Clarity of Mind’, will delve deeper into his healing journey—a transition from pain to growth.
As fans eagerly await his next project, Omah Lay’s latest post highlights the complex intersection of fame, fortune, and mental health.
