Popular Yoruba actress and entrepreneur Biodun Okeowo, widely known as Omoborty, has furiously responded to a social media troll who insinuated she once had an affair with popular skit maker Cute Abiola.
The Instagram user, under one of Biodun’s posts, wrote:
“But wait o, you and Cute Abiola been dey knack that year Abi? New week na question o.”
The 45-year-old Nollywood star did not take the comment lightly. Taking to her Instagram Stories on Monday, July 14, 2025, Biodun reposted the message and issued fiery prayers against both the commenter and a blog she blamed for originating the rumour.
“As for you @eazeekodeworldwid, I don’t blame you. I blame the Olori buruku liar blogger who is hell bent on dragging my name through the mud with lies,” she wrote.
“May the God of justice expose and disgrace him or her publicly.”
She continued in another post:
“To that stup*d lie lie blog: You can deceive the world, but you can’t deceive God… Whoever is behind that blog, may disgrace with the truth without mercy in Jesus’ name. God will expose you. AMEN.”
Background of the Controversy
Rumours about Biodun Okeowo and Cute Abiola (real name Abdulgafar Abiola) began circulating in 2023 after a controversial blog alleged the two were romantically involved.
Omoborty publicly denied the claims at the time, even swearing with a Bible in a video to prove her innocence.
Biodun, a mother of two and a popular face in Yoruba cinema, is also a successful skincare entrepreneur.
In 2024, she made headlines again when she dismissed another rumour, this time alleging she snatched her partner from actress Lola Idije’s daughter.
Cute Abiola’s Side
Cute Abiola, who is married to Kudirat Mosunmola, welcomed his first son in June 2023. The content creator and former Navy officer has not publicly responded to the affair rumours.
