The remains of former President Muhammadu Buhari arrived at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua Airport in Katsina State on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led a high-powered federal delegation to receive the body, which was transported from London aboard the presidential aircraft.
Among those present at the airport were state governors, federal ministers, members of the National Assembly, and other top government officials, all gathered to pay their respects.
The body is expected to be transported to Daura, Buhari’s hometown, for final burial rites, in line with Islamic tradition.
