Former Nollywood actress and ex-beauty queen, Regina Askia, has appealed to Nigerians to tone down public celebrations following the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Taking to her official Instagram account, the US-based health worker shared a heartfelt message calling for reflection and respect during this period of national mourning.
“President Buhari journeys home today. Let’s send him off respectfully with a prayer. Remember, dust we all are and to dust we will return,” she wrote.

Regina, who left the entertainment industry decades ago and now works as a nurse practitioner in the United States, emphasized the fleeting nature of life and the importance of serving humanity while still alive.
“Let’s make each day count in service to each other with the time we have on earth. Journey well Mr President, rest in peace,” she added.
