People think I’m rude because I post savage memes on social media – Victor Boniface

Victor Boniface survives near-fatal car crash

Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface has clarified that his online behavior is often misunderstood, particularly his use of savage memes on social media.

In a recent appearance on The Culture League podcast, the Bayer Leverkusen star responded to critics who have accused him of being rude based on his posts. Boniface emphasized that sharing memes is simply a way for him to express himself, not a reflection of his character.

“There’s a misconception that footballers are rude or arrogant just because we don’t mingle much with other professions,” he said.

“But that’s not true. We’re just living differently because of the nature of our jobs.”

He explained that while entertainers are allowed more freedom in how they present themselves, athletes are often judged by stricter standards.

“When we don’t act like other celebrities, people assume we’re proud or unfriendly,” Boniface noted.

Addressing his own online presence, he said,

“I post savage memes and people think I’m rude, but I’m really not. I’d never insult anyone unless they cross the line. Some of us have a bit of madness inside, but it takes provocation to bring it out. I’m chill — but if you bring it, you’ll get it.”
